Skilled Worker Visa is the most commonly used route in healthcare, including many other professions on the skills shortage list, recruitment. It applies to skilled workers wo are offered a sponsorship to fill gaps in the UK Labour force (previously the work permit route)

This requires applicants to have been provided with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) from an employer who is registered on the sponsor register.

The route will require applicants to be in roles skilled to RQF6, and subject to a different minimum salary threshold from the main Skilled Worker route. It will not be subject to English language requirements but will be subject to a requirement that the worker has been employed by the sending business for a minimum period prior to the transfer (12 months in the case of intra-company transfers or three months in the case of intra-company graduate trainees).

This route is available to skilled migrants who are moving from a role in an international branch/subsidiary of a company abroad to one within the same company in the UK. This route is subdivided into the ‘Intra-Company Transfer’ route and ‘Intra-Company Graduate Trainee’ route.
